Warning and Anti-counterfeiting

Tapes perfectly integrate protective functions, information carrying, and tamper-evident properties into a simple, low-cost product, which aligns with the fundamental requirements of the warning and anti-counterfeiting sector.

PVC tape is the most widely used tape for warning applications. The addition of plasticizers reduces the strong electronegativity between its molecules, making the material relatively soft and highly flexible. This gives it excellent abrasion resistance, allowing it to withstand repeated stepping and friction without breaking when used on floors. Moreover, PVC tape is available in a wide range of colors, making it suitable for different scenarios and indicating various warning levels. Combined with its electrical insulation properties, PVC tape is the ideal choice for warning against electric shock on electrical equipment.

Aluminum foil tape is also used in this field. Although the surface of aluminum foil is smooth, it has high surface energy, allowing logos and inks to be printed or coated firmly without being easily erased, making it suitable for anti-counterfeiting applications.

BOPP tape, the most widely used tape in the packaging industry, often serves a warning and anti-tampering role in logistics and express delivery, alerting consumers or transporters. BOPP film can undergo corona treatment to increase its surface energy, enabling patterns to be printed on the surface and remain durable over time. Thanks to its high adhesion and flexibility, when BOPP tape is removed, it often causes damage to cartons or deformation upon opening, thereby reducing the risk of packages being tampered with by others.

PET film is the most commonly used base material for VOID anti-tamper tapes, thanks to its excellent dimensional stability and high tensile strength. The core function of VOID tape is to leave a complete pattern on the adhered surface after being torn, ensuring that the outer layer of the base material does not deform during removal. This requires very low elongation and high rigidity. PET's weather resistance and resistance to acids and alkalis are outstanding, allowing it to adhere to products long-term without issues such as lifting, wrinkling, breaking, or shrinking.
