Woven Fiberglass Mesh Aluminum Foil Tape
This product is a composite tape constructed by laminating aluminum foil to a visibly woven fiberglass mesh substrate (with distinct warp and weft patterns), followed by coating with high-performance pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) and a release paper or film liner.
Product Details Features
Moderate Tensile Strength: Compared to standard fiberglass cloth tape, the reduced density of the mesh structure results in lower tensile strength but greater flexibility.
Enhanced Flexibility: The open mesh design provides superior conformability, making it ideal for irregular surfaces and corners.
Moisture Barrier: The PE-laminated layer offers complete resistance to water penetration. However, the PE material is inherently flammable unless flame-retardant additives are incorporated.
Primary Applications
Similar to standard fiberglass cloth aluminum foil tapes, it is used for:
Thermal insulation wrapping for pipelines and ducts.
Protective covering for outdoor equipment corners and curved surfaces.
